Yes the material is thin and the furry bits shed. But it’s a costume! It’s meant for one day of wear, it’s not a sweater or something you want to wear multiple times. I think it’s great for the price and my daughter loves it. We’ve tried it on and the small fits her perfectly, she’s 2 years old (32” tall, 23 pounds). She loves it. I’m going to have her wear a long sleeve top and pants underneath to keep warm. I love that it comes with everything unlike most costumes.
