I think this is a great product for what you pay. I was able to get it on black friday sale and was extremely happy with it. The kids love it and the monster pins and bowling ball are really well down. You do need to have hardwood flooring or similar for it to work best, but its not bad on carpet either. It feels well made, well designed, and becomes more than just a bowling set for the kids since it has the monster design. They can become toys for stories or like a stuffed animal for them. The ball is a good little toy too. Great quality, good price, and lots of uses.When he opened this my 2 yr old son squeeled "I love it!!!" before he even knew what it was. My son accidentally got 2 bowling sets. The other set he got was called "Silly Six Pins" that was tough hard plastic used lightly. We love and use both, but for different reasons.This bowling set was called small by many here. I was not at all dissapointed with the size. About the size of a bottle of vitamin water is more than enough for a 2 yr old. I think bigger pins would actually be a disadvantage here. Does anyone want 7 more large stuffed animals for their child? The pins are resonably sized, durable stuffed animals which my son loves and can handle.The fact that the pins are monsters opens up more possibilities. They become targets to shoot an hit in games of "find the monsters" where he hunts them. There are a lot of games where making a monster "bad guy" is a lot of fun, and at $4 a pin it isn't as expensive if one gets a little roughed up. I have had no damage on mine, but beware if you have a dog that likes chew toys of similiar size and shape.I found that the monsters open a world of play. There are a lot of games where hitting a target or finding something is a lot of fun, these are the ideal size for him at 2.The one big disadvantage is that he really likes the crashing sounds of his other set, but even so He still sets his monsters up in a row and knocks them down. He loves his monsters. Worth the money.I bought this as a gift for a 1 year olds birthday. Melissa & Doug products are always the best quality and has a great way of adding fun and learning in a toy. The little monster pins are cute and have so much color and texture for her to feel. They are a little hard to set up at her age but that is ok because she is more interested in touching the pins. I am sure when she is a little older it will be a fun game for her to play! Setting the pins up will not only be fun but build those fine motor skills. I make the commitment to rate every item and seller I purchase from.My baby is only 7 months old, so, he doesn't quite play bowling with this yet (although I do!!) but he loves the monsters. I opened it the other day with him on the floor with me. I arranged them like pins and threw the ball to hit them hard so they would fall at once. My baby loved it and crawled to them as fast as he could. He looked at all of them, then grabbed one with an orange body and blue furry stripes. It became his favorite! The horns/ears are really fun for young babies, because they pinch them, bite them, hold the monster by them, twist them.... the colors and textures are really attractive for babies too. We played with them for a good while. My baby was sitting on the carpet and I arranged them in front of them in a circle as if they were looking at him, and he went looking at them one by one, like to recognize them and pick one up. Then he just had fun knocking them over with his hand as he crawled to them. The ball is also fun for him to grab and bang on things.... Now they are all in his toy bucket, and he keeps pulling the orange one out :)I recommend buying it even for younger babies. It can be used for a while in any way, then put away, then retaken a few months later to give them a new use for the new skills, and eventually, we will play bowling too!I bought this Melissa & Doug Monster Bowling Set for our son for Christmas. This game is alot of fun for the whole family. These pins and ball aren't too big, but not too small. They are the perfect size, and not bulky at all. I love that it all came in a zippered bag! When we are finished playing, then we put back in the back for easy storage. Our son loves all of the funny faces, horns, and colors on each pin. The ball and pins are soft and fuzzy. We have no problem with the pins standing up on their own, but they are also easy for our son to knock down with the ball. We set the pins up at the end of the hallway, and we rolled the ball from the beginning of the hallway. I didn't have to worry about scratching up our hardwood floors. The game is quiet and safe, and I love that it helps teaching hand eye coordination. This is a great game to give as a gift or to buy for the family. Se compre para un amigo que iba a tener a su hijo, pero al llegar lo cheque y es un gran producto ya que esta fabricado muy bien.
